On Thursday, January 19th, students from the Belmont Hill School participated in a community service day at agencies throughout greater Boston. Eight of their students volunteered at the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans where they helped serve the lunch meal. The students also assisted the kitchen staff in clean-up efforts. They toured the facility, and got a chance to meet with veterans, learning about the issues faced by homeless veterans. We are grateful to the many students who visit us throughout the year. If you or your organization would like to become involved in a group community service effort, please contact Stephen Cunniff, Community Affairs Manager, by email to stephenc@neshv.org or visit our volunteers page located here on our website.
